Bombay Bites is very well know restaurant for its Maharashtrian style food from chai to pav bhaji, sev puri to chinese you will get a feel of fusion with Mumbai touch. If you are a Indian you will be more comfortable as 90 percent crowd is Indian. Even though it is in the interior in evening's most of the time it is fully packed.

 What We Tried There:
  • Mix grill Tandoor
  • Chicken Nuraani
  • Butter Roti
  • Bombay Bites Special Falooda
Mix Grill Tandoor is the non-veg platter. It had Seekh kabab, Prawns tandoor, Fish Tandoor and Boneless Chicken Kabab which was served with Green Chutney. It was good and tasty, worth for the price.

Chicken Nuraani is tasty and love the Mumbai touch, spices are used nicely. Gravy was nice and thick. Along with it we had Butter Roti, which is simple and nice.

Lastly we went for Bombay Bites Special Falooda, this was a disppointment for me. I had really high expectations from it but it was big NO. It had mango and vanilla ice cream, milk with roohafza, chia seed and vermicelli. It was not great, it is same as how I do it at home. So definitely it's not recommended.

Pathan's

Wednesday, June 21, 2017 0 Comments A+ a-

When you first hear Pathan's it seems like it is North Indian restaurant but it is mainly South Indian. I have been wanting to eat something delicious at affordable price in which you can have pleasure of multiple tasty dishes. I could only think of Thali.

We visited Pathan's and ordered there Special Delux Meal with Sweet Lassi. The staff is very warm and friendly, Space is bit cramped and you feel you are in south India as most of the staff is from south India. The problem comes in parking as it is always full but it is very near to metro station.

After giving the order I thought it won't be enough for two of us so I thought we should order something extra. So we asked the staff about it and he said have a look at it first and then decide, he was right about it.

We were served Buttermilk first which is included in the meal and then the meal it should be renamed to their Special super delux meal.

After having a look at it me and my hubby both gave a stare at each other and we started. It had palak panner, rasam, dal, veg biryani, papad, poori, channa masala and many more. It was delicious. We replaced the rice with more poorie's. It was really fulfilling and amazing meal. To be honest both of us still couldn't finish the thali completely. Lassi was thick and on point.

The prices are very much affordable and have descent environment.

Caravan is one the oldest restaurant in Dubai. It is one of my favorite buffet restaurant because it serves most of the dishes which I love. It offers a great multi-cuisine buffet which covering the Indian subcontinent, Middle East and Continental. They have soups, salads, starters, rice, various curries and desserts.

It have great sitting arrangement and good ambiance. The staff is very good and keep cleaning the clutter every time. I have been there for 3-4 times till now.

This time we had organised the Iftar party. I personally love buffet system when it has to for any party or any such thing. Because it is TAKE WHAT YOU LIKE AND WASTE NOT.

As we had gone there for Iftar they had already kept Dates (Khajoor), Falooda and Lime juice on the table. On the buffet counter they had fruits, samosa, pakodas, channa chaat and a sponge cake. It was tasty and fulfilling.

For main buffet there were so many dishes, we started with salads. My favorite is Russian salad, Taboleh, Coleslaw, Aloo Chaat, Corn and Olives. It is my favorite part of the whole buffet. It was so delicious and this are #MustTry.

Then I opted for Spicy Chicken Soup and my hubby took Sweet corn vegetable soup. Both were really tasty. Both of our taste buds were satisfied as I like spicy and he likes sweet.

Later we went for starters so I took all the dry items, starting with Chicken Kabab, Chicken Wings, Fish cutlet, Egg vermicili noodles with their house special sauce. I can't say one particular dish is favorite of mine because all are my favorite. Each one have different flavors and aroma.

Then I went with pasta, veg makhani, chicken kadai, paratha and biryani. It was really delicious and Paisa wasool.
The whole buffet is for 62 aed per person, you can take as much as you want unlimited which is the good part.

We waited for some time as we were almost full and I wanted to try out dessert.

For dessert they had Jalebi, Gulab Jamun, Jelly, Ras Malai, Umali, Cream Caramel, Mouse Cake and Fruit salad.
I love there Ras malai, Cream Caramel and Gulab jamun it is yummy and not so sweet.

If you have huge family or you want to organize a party you can definitely call them up and book the place. And you can also tell them if you want any message to be written on board or on screen they will do it for you.
