Dubai is well developed city, fast growing and fast life. I'm lucky to be here and each day gives me different experience. But sometimes with fast moving life I just want to slow down and enjoy each moment of our beautiful life and spending some time at silent place far away from city and crowd. So I and my hubby decided to drive through Jumeirah Lake Towers ( JLT ). We had a good walk around the Jumeirah Lake Towers, had a laugh, had some fun around.
Later we got hungry and while we were just walking we spoted the Kulcha King, it really caught my eyes with the punjabi royal door and the fancy truck. This was totally unplanned visit.
As soon as we entered, we got a feeling as if we are in Punjab. The interiors, small detailing, lighting's, muddy walls, everything reminded of olden times.
The staff is very good and also help you while you choose the items. The menu is quiet long and we took some time to decide what to order.
What We Tried There:
- Pudina Sarbat
- Tandoori Kukkad
- Chicken Gilafi Seekh Kabab
- Royal Thali
After a long walk through the lake and park we got tired, first thing we ordered is the Pudina Sarbat, the mint was really refreshing and the khatta meetha taste was good. It is a #MustHave if you ever visit this restaurant. It is priced at AED 12. It is worth having and the quantity is good.

For starter's we ordered Tandoori Kukkad, it have option of Half/Full. We went with half portion as we were only two. It is little bit crispy and little bit spicy. Half portion have 4 pieces of chicken priced at AED 25.
Next was Chicken Gilafi Seekh Kabab, the only reason why I ordered it was the Name. It was something new. It was the #DishOfTheDay for us and I will #HighlyRecommend this dish to try. It was soft, well marinated, had perfect combination of spices. It was priced at AED 32.
Starter's were served with green chutney and the Imli chutney. The Imli chutney was really different, not usual. I loved it, was really #Yummy.

For main course we ordered the Royal Thali, In menu we had options to choose some items between two dishes. It had Chicken Tikka (2pcs small), Dal Tadka or Makhani, Chicken Gravy (we got Butter chicken), Mix Vegetable kadai or Butter masala (we opted for veg, kadai), 1 Lacha paratha or Naan (we opted for Lacha Paratha), Roti, Rice, Gulab Jamun, Butter Milk, Papad, Raita, Pickle. It was fulfilling and good. It is priced at AED 44. I wouldn't recommend it, as it didn't amaze me. But the quantity is good. Has a very much Desi touch what people in India eat everyday.
