I love Italian food specifically Pasta and one of the famous brand that make amazing pasta, sauces, pizza is Barilla. Well DSF is going on and you need to shop till you drop. After I dropped, I had re-energize myself, while walking I spotted this Barilla Restaurant from far away and had to try it out. Pasta is one of my favorite comfort food which I eat most of the time and Barilla pasta makes it easy to cook.
Barilla restaurant is located on the level 1 of Dubai Festival City Mall. The restaurant is open and bright. You can directly see what is cooking on the counter. They have displayed their products and variety of pastas as a decor. They have very minimal and elegant look to the restaurant with wooden furniture giving us the Italian feel. We were welcomed with smiling faces and was shown our tables.
After we placed our order we were served with freshly baked bread and oils. The breads were soft and fluffy and crispy from outside.
We started with
Tomato Pesto Bread completely vegetarian, it is their freshly baked pizza bread topped with their famous tomato sauce and basil leaves paste. It was sweet and sour which was perfect and not over the top. It had the perfect crunch and spice and very light to start the meal.

It is not fair if you don't try out their pasta because they are know for it. We chose
Fuscilli Montanara (fuscilli is my favorite shape of pasta), the chicken and mushroom is nicely seasoned and sauteed in creamy sauce. The was served piping hot, very tasty and had authentic Italian flavors. It is

Moving on we had to order something from oven baked. The pictures were very beautiful on the menu I didn't knew what was it at first so I just pointed out to the picture and showed to our server and she understood. It was
Pollo Marinato Alle Erbe, the chicken is nicely marinated and oven baked which is served with roasted vegetables and rosemary potatoes. The chicken is tender and delightful. I

My love for coffee is very strong and caffeine is best way to keep your boost level up. The
Mocha Frappe is served beautifully and topped with cream and chocolate.

Don't forget to end your meal with their delicious
Tiramisu which is nicely layered in a jar. It had exact amount of coffee and sweetness in it.

The best part of the restaurant is they have as many options of vegan dishes and non-veg. There is nobody who won't find something for themselves. The prices for some of the dishes is bit high compared to the portion served but I guess flavors makes up for it.
