Sukkar - Dessert Heaven, Al Safa

Few days back I posted about Logma, they have presented a new go to place for all the dessert lover which is Sukkar (means Sugar). Sukkar have a concept of khalijee touch to all of their desserts.
I didn't know that Logma and Sukkar is by one group until I visited the Logma. They have done a great work of introducing the Emarati Cuisine to the expats and the tourist.

As you start ordering you also end up ordering more just by looking at the pictures on the menu. Because of both restaurants being adjacent to each other, you can sit in Logma and order from sukkar. Sukkar is little place which have little space to sit inside but have outdoor seating also, seating outside cannot be suggested during summers.

What We Tried There:

  • Snicker Specialty Shake
  • The Nutella Well
The Nutella Well is the molten dark chocolate filled with Nutella and Chocolate sauce in between, sprinkled with almond flakes and raspberries along with vanilla Ice cream. It is one of the best seller which was definite because it is amazing. The gooey chocolate with ice cream, #MustHave. Don't miss this!

The Nutella Well
We tried one of their Specialty Shakes in Snickers flavor. It is fully loaded with lots of Snickers, Chocolates and Ice cream. Served in a huge glass which is difficult to finish by one person so do share it. This shakes more three flavors you can choose according to your liking but I #HighlyRecommend you to try out Snickers.
Snicker Specialty Shake
They also sell the whole cakes, whole cheesecake, milk cake trays, there is whole different menu from which you can preorder for any occasion. I am definitely going back for more sugar sin.

Logma - Taste of Emarati Food, BOXPARK, Al Safa

It sounds funny that even though I have been staying in UAE for so long I didn't explore much of the emarati cuisine. Therefore I thought to visit one of the best restaurant which serves lip smacking Emarati and Middle Eastern food, that is Logma. It is really hidden gem as in a finest restaurant to provide delicious khalijee cuisine. They have great options for traditional emarati breakfast and other traditional snacks. One more thing, if you think shawerma is emarati food then you are in huge misconception, Shawerma is originated in Turkey, it is turkish food.

To my surprise Logma is very famous among Locals. I visited for early dinner, it was almost full and I had to wait till I get a table which I wanted. The restaurant have calm ambiance. The decor have mix of ancient and modern emirate touch to the restaurant which is contemporary style. Antique lanterns, embroidered camel at the back of chair, Dubai skyline as a wall art and names of emarati food. Every detail signifies the beauty of Emirates. They have indoor as well as outdoor seating, to keep it more live and fun good music is played in the background. The service provided by staff is prompt and helps to choose if you are confused which you will be after looking at amazing menu.

What We Tried There:
  • Logma Fries
  • Roasted Chicken Khameer Sandwich
  • Crispy Chicken Logma Parathas
We started with the very famous Logma Fries, crispy fries seasoned nicely with khalijee spices and other herbs. The quantity is shareable with two people, it is one of the best fires which I had and definitely #MustTry.
Logma Fries
Next we tried their Roasted Chicken Khameer Sandwich which had nicely marinated chicken with onion marmalade, roasted veggies, walnut pesto and cheese. This is perfect for everyone because it have great taste pallet. I loved how well it was stuffed in Khameer and can be shared between two people because food here can get heavy. I #HighlyRecommend you to try it out because it is totally worth it.

Lastly I wanted to try out something from their parathas section because it was newly added in the menu, we tried their Crispy Chicken Logma Paratha. Initially I imagined it to be a Roll but I was surprised, It was served to us like Tacos definitely the huge tacos. Paratha was nicely stuffed with fried crispy chicken, mayonnaise, parsley and veggies tossed in khalijee spices. It was delightful and scrumptious. The quantity is good and can be enjoyed between two people, #MustHave.
Crispy Chicken Logma Paratha
The food here all together is on another level  it doesn't matter even if it is bit expensive and this place is packed most of the time. It is one of the places which I can visit again and again. They have so much to offer in emarati cuisine which you must try. They have another outlet in Dubai Mall which have breath taking view of Burj Khalifa and Dubai Fountain, if you are tourist you will visit Dubai Mall so definitely check out the restaurant.

Seedology - Healthy Chia Seeds Inspired, Al Safa

Having a fresh and clean food is important to body. Today it I am reviewing newly opened restaurant in Al Safa. This restaurants have come up with dishes which have Chia Seeds, have you guessed it yet!? Well, it is Seedology.

Seedology have a concept of serving chia seeds in almost every dish of what they serve from appetizer to desserts. Chia seeds is good to balance the cholesterol level in body and protects against heart attack or stroke. To some extent it also helps in reducing weight. They have very bright colored interiors which some how made me happy, as I have seen most of the colors used in Dubai are white or sand color. They also have play station for kids, toys, reading area and various games like uno, jenga.

What We Tried There:
  • Kojo Salad
  • Charizard
  • Hummus Avocado Sandwich
  • Atlantis
  • Shukulata Jafiliya
  • Superb Fruit Salad
We started with Charizard which is Blueberry Lassi. It was not sour like other berry juices it had a nice balance.
Charizard
I always like to have salad, next up is the Kojo Salad. It had lot of baby spinach, iceberg lettuce, carrot, cucumber, grapes, cherry tomatoes, almonds, chia seeds and best thing was the blueberry dressing. It not only looked appealing but it was equally delicious definitely #MustTry.
Kojo Salad
Next we tried their Hummus Avocado Sandwich, it was very simple dish with hummus, baby spinach, avocado and little pepper sprinkled on top of the bread. But it was delicious, I never imagined it to taste it so good. Most vegan food can taste very blend to me because I love spicy food. This was really a surprise to me, I #HighlyRecommend you guys to try it out.
Hummus Avocado sandwich
We also tried their Superb Fruit Salad which have different variety of fruits and nuts, cream and milk. I liked everything except the milk in it because i don't like the smell of milk and it bothered me  alot. If you don't get carried away with the smell then it is yay.
Superb Fruit Salad
Lastly for desserts we firstly tried Atlantis, it had mango and pineapple puree with chia pudding in it. It didn't wow me but had a average flavors to it.
Atlantis
Our second dessert was Shukalata Jafiliya, it had different layers of cookies and chocolate with chia pudding in it. I loved this because it balanced out the sweetness .
Shukalata Jafiliya
Overall it is a good place to have quality time with friends, family and kids. One of a good way to spent a cheat day also in a healthier way.

State 88 - Hub of Sandwiches

Dubai is a city where things can change overnight. There can be a new restaurant, new road or a new car launch in the city which then becomes the talk of the town.

There is a new eatery in city called State 88. They have a new concept of cooking meat which was initiated by two brothers. It is the only restaurant in Dubai and planning to expand further. It has complete new design and fresh environment. They serve one of the best sandwiches that we can trust on completely. Their secret weapon being they smoke their meat in house. Meat is being slow cooked for 12 hours and is served with salads tossed in delightful vinaigrette. The food is very healthy as it is only grilled, roasted, baked and not fried. We were glad to be invited and we had a great experience.

State 88 is located at City Walk with indoor and outdoor seating arrangements. The decor is very rustic and elegant. The staff is very friendly and provides great service. The pricing is easy on pocket.

Firstly for drinks we ordered Nut About You Milkshake, it is a mixture of vanilla ice cream with hazelnut crazy paste. It was amazing and had right combinations.

And Lotus Milkshake which had lotus ice cream with lotus biscuit crumbs. This is #MyFavorite as I love the crispiness of biscuit. The milkshakes are freshly made. On your last sip you might want to order one more. This can be my new cheat meal. It is #MustTry milkshakes and worth the price.

Lotus Milkshake

We started our meal with Feng Shui Salad, mixture of chicken with light peanut dressing. The taste of each ingredient was completely different from others but yet made very nice combination of everything. It will fulfill your taste buds as well as hunger.

Feng Shui Salad

Sandwiches is their main category which you can't miss. In sandwiches we ordered Chickita Sandwich and Chicken 88, both tasted fantastic. Chicken in both the sandwiches are slow cooked for 12 hours and both are served in potato bread. Chickita sandwich had roasted chicken with sweet corn, soya, mozzarella, lettuce and pickles. Chicken 88 had smoked chicken, avocado, tomato, lettuce and mayo, just the way I love it. It was delicious and perfect, both sandwiches are  #HighlyRecommended.

From the early birds we tried Avenue 88 which had scrambled eggs with mozzarella cheese and pico di gallo. It was hot and gave a home made feel to it.
